A Bad Girl was purchased in September of 2013 as a gift for my wife, to be given at a surprise birthday party in April 2014. I hadn’t expected to find a car so quickly but couldn’t pass up on such a nice bug, so I trailered it directly to Last Chance Auto Restoration to hide it until the party... and to add some bling while it was there. As with our other cars, it grew to become a major project.
We trailered the vert to Florida for a couple of months. While there, we became frustrated with the stock carburetor which never started well. Undertook some upgrades with Baggerly's VW – Tampa Florida.

The Weber progressive carburetor was not starting the car properly. The choke was malfunctioning and there was hesitation even when warm. I found Wicked Garage in Ottawa. While the car was there, they did almost everything you could think of in order to fix the carburetor issues without success.
After all this work on carburetors, we decided to upgrade to EFI. Parts were ordered and the Bug went to Greg Stogren (Tuned Perfection) for some upgrades.
We had the vert ceramic coated by CeramiCoat in Kingston Ontario. They have done all of our cars.
Dyno Tuning by Schnell Engineering (Rob & Sasha) to set up the fuel injection. Tuning was done at the RS Autosports shop in Toronto Canada.
